The eTrex Summit is the first combination GPS with altimeter and electronic compass. Perfect companion for walkers, mountaineers or outdoor enthusiasts. The eTrex Summit offers an electronic compass to provide bearing information when stationary. The unit also features a Barometric Altimeter. Local pressure (mbar/inches HG), 12-hour automatic pressure trend recording. Range -2,000 to 30,000ft (-610m - 9,150m). Elevation computer: current elevation, resetable minimum and maximum elevation, ascent/descent rate, total ascent/descent, average and maximum ascent/descent rate. The case is completely waterproof and is able to withstand immersion in one metre of water for up to 30 minutes.
