The eTrex Vista part of the eTrex lineup. Packaged in a stylish, high-tech looking silver waterproof case, the 12-channel receiver provides for reliable and accurate positioning in extreme environments. WAAS enabled it is among the industry's smallest GPS handhelds, contains the powerful Garmin ARM processor design which easily supports extremely detailed mapping including points of interest. Mapping detail is presented on a new high resolution liquid crystal display 288x160 pixels, FSTN. In addition to the features of the eTrex Legend, the Vista contains a built-in barometric altimeter and electronic compass. The compass provides bearing information while you are standing still and the altimeter determines your precise altitude and provides a graphic profile of your trip. It is equipped with 24MB of built-in memory for storing detailed map data from the optional range of MapSource CD-ROMs.
