EZ-TUNE-Y-BOX * NEW * High Sierra Control box for use with Yaesu rigs
A dedicated controller box for High Sierra mobile antennas for use with Yaesu rigs such as 857, 857D, 897 or 897D.
This controller has two boxes and four sets of cables.
The controller system is prewired and just needs to be plugged in.
A battery is required for the second box, power for the motor comes from the transceiver.
The circuitry of the Y-Box is quite different than from the I-Box and K-Box and so operation is different.
When the rocker switch is rocked, the Yaesu will transmit a 30W carrier, voltage to the motor will enable the coil to move up or down depending on the direction of the rocker switch.
Watch the transceivers built-in SWR meter and tune for an SWR of < 2:1. The light on the control box will illuminate when the antenna's coil is fully extended or fully retracted.
The lens on the assembly may be red or green.
