The MFJ-1642 is an effective, compact and simple to use ATU for portable, fixed station and emergency use. It comes supplied with 1.37m (4 1/2ft) telescoping whip antenna and counterpoise assembly.

Uses standard 3/8th antenna socket placed on top of the unit and is ideal for use with other types of mobile antennas using 3/8th threads such as the Pro-AM, Watson, and Hustler ranges. The band coverage is entirely dependent on the antenna used (normally mono banders).
