The Spectrum Scout is a frequency counter that is capable of capturing the frequeny of a nearby transmitter and displaying the FCC bandplan data for that frequency. It can store up to 1000 captured frequencies with 65,000 hits per frequency and also displays the signal strength of a transmitter.

The Spectrum Scout allows you to program your own portable frequency reference from simple text files. Also frequency spectrum data can be downloaded off the internet relevant to the country concerned rather than using the FCC data. It uses 11 different step sizes for scrolling through the data.
