The Yaesu ATU-450 antenna tuner is designed exclusively for the Yaesu FT-450.
This automatic tuner mounts inside the bottom of the transceiver.
The impedance matching range is 16.5 to 150 ohms (up to 3:1 SWR).
Accordingly the ATU-450 should not be expected to match long wire antennas.
Please note that the ATU-450 cannot be used with the ATAS-120A.
A clicking sound during tuning is normal.
