The Acom A700S 1.8 - 54 MHz linear amplifier has a five-inch (5”) high-resolution colour display, offering a resolution of 800x480 pixels and 24-bit colours. In its final stage, the amplifier utilizes field effect (MOSFET) transistors type MRFE6VP61K25N, designed to withstand high mismatch (SWR) at the output. This makes it suitable for aerospace, industrial, mobile, and radio broadcast applications.

The final power amplifier (PA) stage of the Acom A700S utilizes a rugged LDMOS transistor, specifically the MRFE6VP61K25N or an equivalent model. This ensures reliable performance and durability.

One of the key features of the Acom A700S is its compatibility with all transceiver models available on the market. It does not require any unique signals and only needs 40W of RF drive power to operate, making it convenient for use with various transceivers.

The amplifier features a broadband input circuit that provides a perfect transceiver load with a standing wave ratio (SWR) below 1.2:1 (typically 1.1:1) throughout the frequency range from 1.8 to 54MHz. This eliminates the need for retuning when changing frequency bands.

The operation of the Acom A700S is highly simplified, with intuitive screen menus that are easy to follow. The amplifier does not require any special skills from the operator when changing frequency bands.

The Acom A700S can be connected to a transceiver with a CAT interface for automatic control. This allows the amplifier to monitor the operating frequency and change bands accordingly. Even without the CAT interface, the amplifier can still monitor the frequency of the input signal through the built-in frequency counter and automatically switch over the bands.

The Acom A700S can be remotely controlled via its RS232 interface. It also incorporates continuously working protection circuits in all modes, ensuring. The amplifier allows the operator to digitally monitor more than 10 parameters concerning its working regime, which allows for easy maintenance and troubleshooting.

The Acom A700S is designed for convenient use in expeditions and field operations. It features a compact and lightweight construction, an extended mains voltage range of 100V to 240V, and limited inrush current. It also has a purely sinusoidal consumed primary current and automatic Power Factor Correction (PFC), making it suitable for operation from unstable mains, generators, and other power sources. It offers intermodulation distortions (IMD3) better than 31dB below the rated PEP output. The Acom A700S's RF power gain is 14dB +/-1dB. It operates with a mains power supply voltage of 100V-240V without the need for switching. At full output power, the amplifier consumes 1350VA or less with a power factor of 0.95 or higher. In Low-Energy (waiting) mode, the mains power consumption is less than 1VA.

The Acom A700S complies with EU safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility standards, and the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules. It is designed to work within a temperature range of -10°C to +40°C (14°F to 104°F) and can operate in relative air humidity of up to 95% at 35°C (95°F).
