The "Big Wheel" antenna is a horizontal polarized omnidirectional antenna designed to provide an alternative to highly directional antennas commonly used on VHF and UHF frequencies. WiMo manufactures Big Wheel antennas with stainless aluminium and stainless steel hardware. These antennas offer an approximate gain of 3 dBD and feature an N-jack (female) connector. When two Big Wheel antennas are vertically stacked, the gain increases to around 5 dBD. A standard phasing harness connects two antennas to a single coax feed.
