The A12-1090 pre-amplifier is specifically designed for use with Real-Time Virtual Radar products. When paired with the Mast Head Pre-amp amplifier, the range of These products is significantly extended. This pre-amplifier is compatible with passive antennas such as the BS1100 series, making it versatile for various setups.

In the package, the B12-1090BT Interface provides power to the A12-1090 pre-amp by injecting 12V DC voltage over the coaxial cable. The A12-1090BT features two N-Type connectors (female). At the same time, the BT12 interface includes one N-Type input socket (connected to the masthead A12-1090) and one BNC connector (linked to the Virtual Radar Unit) for seamless integration.

For optimal performance, it is recommended to mount the antenna pre-amplifier close to the antenna itself rather than at the end of a long cable. Placing the pre-amp at the end of a long cable can lead to signal degradation due to increased noise. Additionally, positioning the pre-amp at the antenna allows the use of a more cost-effective cable with higher attenuation for better signal decoding.
