Icom has introduced the IC-F6062 mobile transceiver series, which is tailored for the commercial radio market. This series features a full-dot matrix LCD, a detachable front panel, multiple signalling options, and a voice scrambler. Notably, the IC-F6062 is the first Icom mobile radio compatible with the 6.25kHz digital mode.

The IC-F6062 series is available in two versions: the IC-F5062 for VHF and the IC-F6062 for UHF. With a detachable front panel using the optional RMK-3 and separation cable, users can explore various mounting options. The transceiver also boasts a multi-functional dot matrix LCD that can display up to 24 characters in either a 1 or 2-line format.

In terms of functionality, the IC-F6062 series offers 512 memory channels that can be organized into 128 memory banks for quick access. Its durable construction, including a solid die-cast chassis and water-resistant remote control unit, ensures reliable operation in challenging environments. Additionally, the series supports multiple signalling systems as standard and is compatible with BIIS 1200 features for selective calling and data messaging.
