Kenwood TH-K4E UHF FM handheld transceiver is a compact and reliable communication device.
The TH-K4E is one of the three handheld devices offered by Kenwood. It features a high-power 5W operation using the standard Ni-MH (1100mAh) battery. It boasts 100 memory channels and one call channel, allowing for efficient frequency storage and retrieval. The internal VOX feature enables hands-free operation, and the built-in charging circuit allows the battery to be charged while operating from a 13.8V supply.
Regarding specifications, the TH-K4E operates on the 430 - 440MHz Tx/Rx frequency range using FM modulation at 5W power output. It supports wide/narrow deviation, priority scan, automatic simplex checker, and various features such as a DTMF encoder, 1750Hz tone, and built-in CTCSS & DCS encoder/decoder. Despite having no keypad, the device is designed with four buttons for easy navigation and control.
Additionally, the TH-K4E is equipped with a backlit display for enhanced visibility in various lighting conditions. It meets IP54 Military standard 810 C/D/E/F for durability and reliability in challenging environments. Weighing 355g with the PB-43N battery, the device has compact dimensions of 58 x 127.7 x 35.8mm, making it portable and convenient for on-the-go communication.
