The KPC-9612 is a true dual-port, dual-speed packet modem (TNC) used for sending and receiving data by radio. It features one 9600 baud port and one 1200 baud port, and users can communicate at both 9600 and 1200 baud at the same time. The KPC-9612 was designed to connect to either one or two radios. With both ports connected to one radio, it automatically detects the speed of the incoming data and can still transmit at 9600 baud or 1200 baud. Or it can be connected to two radios, one at each port. This way users can simultaneously transmit and receive at both baud rates, automatically. Whether connected to one radio or two, no modifications are required.
