The MFJ-1925I2 Yaesu ATAS Screwdriver Antenna Controller is a crucial accessory for those using the popular Yaesu ATAS Screwdriver Antenna for HF/VHF operations. Specifically designed for the Icom IC-706, this compact MFJ unit enables seamless integration between the antenna and radio. By providing the necessary voltage adjustments, users can easily control the antenna's positioning with the press of a button.
With the MFJ-1925I2 installed in-line between the antenna and the IC-706, users can effortlessly adjust the antenna's position for optimal performance. The controller features a specialized 4-pin connector designed to mate perfectly with the IC-706 controller port, ensuring a seamless connection. When the controller's up/down switch is activated, the IC-706 automatically transmits in low power to adjust the antenna for the lowest SWR, simplifying the tuning process for operators.
Installation of the MFJ-1925I2 is straightforward and requires no modifications to either the radio or the antenna. Equipped with SO-239 connectors for radio and antenna connections, as well as a 4-pin connector for the IC-706 antenna port, this antenna controller is user-friendly and efficient. Additionally, the controller includes a connection for 13.6 VDC power, making it a versatile and essential tool for mobile/portable operations with the IC-706 and Yaesu screwdriver antenna.
