Introducing the MFJ-6220 - 20 Meter 2 Element Collinear Array Antenna, a classic antenna that brings back the powerful signals of the past. This high-performance antenna offers a powerful, booming signal and requires just two trees for installation. We have updated it with stronger, more durable modern materials, making it easy to hang and play. The MFJ-62XX single band two half-wave element collinear array provides nearly 2 dB gain and twice the receiving capture area of a half-wave dipole. It has direct coax feed and low SWR across the entire band. Installation is a breeze with our Hang and PlayTM feature - no cutting, soldering, tuning, or trimming required. The antenna comes completely assembled with custom fibreglass centre insulators, glazed ceramic end insulators, and heavy-duty 7-strand, 14 gauge hard copper element wire. With its larger capture area and power gain, you'll experience enhanced DX capabilities. A pair of these antennas at right angles can provide worldwide coverage, radiating bi-directionally perpendicular to the wire and handling up to 1500 Watts. These antennas are known for their quiet operation, reducing noise up to two to three S-units below verticals and inverted vees. Simple installation is achieved by mounting the antennas horizontally, pulling them tight, and ensuring a height of 1/2 to 3/4 wavelength above ground. The feedline and stub can be conveniently bent or pulled away at an angle. Lengths range from 55 to 136 feet horizontally.
