The MFJ-989D is a high-power antenna tuner capable of handling up to 1500W. It features the use of 500pf air variable capacitors and a low-loss roller inductor. With its continuous tuning capability from 1.8 through 30MHz, it can match various types of antennas including dipoles, inverted verticals, mobile whips, beams, and random wires. Additionally, it is equipped with a built-in 300W dummy load. The True Active peak reading Cross needle SWR/Power meter allows for accurate power readings on all modes. The antenna switch selector is made of ceramic and the matcher can handle coax, balanced feed, and long wires. The tuner also includes a standard 'T' network, PEP and average power measurement, VSWR meter, 6-position ceramic antenna switch, 2 coax positions, coax by-pass, long wire terminal, balanced feeder terminals, built-in 4:1 balun, illuminated meter, and a roller coaster inductor.
