The Palstar AT-500 HF Manual Antenna Tuner 600 Watt PEP is a compact and affordable tuner that covers 160 to 6 Meters. It features a differential tuning capacitor with two stators and one rotor, a precision ceramic body roller inductor, and a 4:1 ferrite current balun for balanced line feeds. With only two tuning controls, it offers maximum ease of use in a manual tuner. The AT-500 also includes active Peak and Peak Hold dual cross-needle metering, similar to the popular PM2000A wattmeter.

This American-made tuner has a power rating of 600 Watts PEP SSB and 500 Watts CW. It can output balanced and unbalanced lines, with an impedance matching range from 20 to 1500 Ohms. The AT-500 features a six position mode switch for multiple antennas, differential capacitor tuning, a 15uH ceramic body roller inductor, and a 4:1 current balun. The tuner is built with .090" thick metalwork, gold chem-film treated, and a powder-coated front panel and top cover for durability.

The Palstar AT-500 is an excellent entry-level antenna tuner for those seeking high-quality equipment. It embodies the American Ham tradition, offering a product and a piece of quality equipment from a USA manufacturer. The tuner comes with a 12VDC wall transformer (U.S. & Canada only) and has dimensions of 10 3/8" wide x 5 1/2" high x 12 7/8" deep (including knobs and connectors), with a shipping weight of 8 lbs.
