The Heil PRO-SET-6 is a combined boom microphone and headset featuring the HC-6 element. This element has a wide frequency range and is ideal for modern transceivers with built-in adjustable EQ (equalisation). This allows the user to take full advantage of the transceiver's ability to adjust the frequency response to match operators' voices and operating conditions. The Pro Set 6 brings the fantastic fidelity and articulation of the HC-6 element to the Heil best-selling Pro Set line. For multimode rigs like the Yaesu FT-450/847/857/897, the Kenwood TS-2000, or the Icom 746Pro, the added fidelity on FM is a big "plus" for the Pro Set 6 compared to the Pro Set 5.
Besides sealing out noise passively, the Pro Set now includes Heil Sound's exclusive phase reversal technology, which allows the user to "move" the incoming signal by engaging the phase-reversal switch; this creates a unique spatial widening sound that can, in some situations, significantly improve copy in a tough DX pile-up.
