The RIGrunner 4004U is a versatile power distribution unit capable of delivering up to 40 amps through its 4 outlets. It features a dual USB socket for charging portable devices and is constructed to commercial manufacturing standards with a printed circuit board made of .062 FR4 material and heavy 3oz. copper. The enclosure is made of durable aluminium with powder coat painting and clear silkscreen labels. The power connectors are Anderson Power Products Power Poles®, arranged according to the ARES/RACES standard.

In terms of specifications, the RIGrunner 4004U measures 1.4" H x 11.75" W x 3.0" D without cables and weighs 15 1/4 oz. It has a maximum total current of 40 amps and a maximum single outlet current of 40 amps. The ICAS current rating is 37 amps for some models and 74 amps for others. It features precision comparator window points, metering accuracy better than 2% at 25 deg.C., and an audible alert output. The output voltage is 5 volts with a maximum voltage of 32 volts for certain models, and it includes reverse polarity protection and automatic switching threshold for radios with the appropriate master outlet fuse.
