The Expert Electronics MB1 SDR HF Transceiver is a new generation of amateur radio.The transceiver combines a classic design and accumulated many decades, with the most advanced DUC/DDC SDR-technologies - direct conversion and synthesis of radio signals and full-featured modern computer with an Intel Core i5 processor. The operator receives a fully functional workstation in one case, which is started by pressing just a one button. All the connections can be done with a help of virtual audio cables and COM-ports, connecting the second monitor, mouse, keyboard and also to control the enjoyable radio by knobs and buttons on the transceiver's face panel.Many radio amateurs use their PC's with the common transceiver. Connection between those two devices is done in accordance with the user's preference. Somebody connects additional USB interfaces, somebody solder's the wire harness. When there appears to be a question to go to contest station with the tuned working station, moving of the equipment becomes a major issue. In such a case it is desirable to have everything in one compact box.

Full duplex mode is supported by the transceiver's hardware, but is not done software yet. This mode will be supported in the future releases of the program ExpertSDR2.
