He loved the features that motorized antennas provided him. Before 2000 motorized antennas did not stand up to the continued use in day to day operation. Especially in the environment which he worked. He kept buying, using, and then repairing them on the weekends after their breakdowns. He tried to have an antenna built the way he wanted but could get no one to build it.
