Whistler TRX-2 E Digital Desktop Scanner
The Whistler TRX-2 is a multi-system adaptive digital trunking scanner that supports various transmission modes, including Motorola P25 Phase I, X2-TDMA, Phase II, and DMR. It allows users to monitor unencrypted channels and systems such as Conventional DMR, Hytera XPT, MotoTRBO™ Capacity Plus, MotoTRBO™ Connect Plus, and MotoTRBO™ Linked Cap Plus systems. Whistler has also announced that they are developing NXDN monitoring, which will be available as a free upgrade for TRX-1 and TRX-2 users. The frequency coverage of this scanner ranges from 25-54 MHz to 1240-1300 MHz, excluding former cellular phone bands.
Notable features of the Whistler TRX-2 include simple Zip Code programming, a preloaded USA/Canada MicroSD card, easy updating via the Internet, APCO P25 Digital Phase I & II compatibility, a removable magnetic head, scanning at up to 70 channels per second, CTCSS and DCS subaudible decoder, a dedicated SKYWARN®/Weather button, IF Discriminator Out, user upgradable CPU firmware, Spectrum Sweeper, and various tuning steps. The package includes an AC adapter, antenna, MicroSD Card, mounting bracket, head bracket, DC power cable, USB cable, protective case, two inserts, User Guide, and Quick Start Guide.
