Yaesu FT-710 Field is a device designed for field operations. The package does not include the SP-40 for the Acoustic Enhancement Speaker System (AESS). However, the FT-710 Field package comes with a Carrying Belt kit. The SP-40 is an optional accessory for customers who want the AESS features.

The FT-710 Field features YAESU Unmatched SDR technology for enhanced receiving performance. It has Band Pass Filters to eliminate unwanted signals and an RF Front-End design with the 250MHz HRDDS for Multi-Signal Receiving Characteristics. It also offers QRM rejection through the dual-core 32-bit high-speed floating decimal point DSP, which provides functions like SHIFT, WIDTH, NOTCH, CONTOUR, APF, DNR, NB, and a 3-stage Parametric Equalizer.

The FT-710 Field indicates the current operating mode. It has a high-resolution 4.3-inch TFT colour touch panel display, a 3DSS, and a VMI LED. It includes a "PRESET" Mode Function for FT8 Operation, an External Display Connection Terminal (DVI-D), and a built-in High-Speed Automatic Antenna Tuner with 100-channel memory. Other features like CW ZIN and SPOT, IPO, and Remote Operation with a Network Remote Control System are also available.

Regarding technical specifications, the FT-710 Field has a TX Frequency Range of 1.8MHz - 50MHz band (Amateur bands only) and 70MHz - 70.5MHz (UK Amateur bands only). The RX Frequency Range is 30KHz - 75MHz (Operating), 1.8MHz - 29.699999MHz (Specified performance, Amateur bands only), 50MHz - 53.999999MHz (Specified performance, Amateur bands only), and 70MHz - 70.499999MHz (Specified performance, UK Amateur bands only). It supports various Emission Modes such as A1A (CW), A3E (AM), J3E (LSB/USB), and F3E (FM).

The device operates on a DC13.8V ±15% supply voltage and offers a power output of 5 - 100W (5 - 25W AM Carrier). It has dimensions of 9.4" x 3.1" x 9.7" (239 x 80 x 247mm) and weighs approximately 9.92lbs (4.5kg). Please note that the DVI-D Screen/Monitor is omitted.
