RT Systems YPS-M500 Programming software simplifies the management of memory channel information and menu settings for the Yaesu FTM-500D radio. The software is compatible with all versions of the radio globally. It is crucial to perform the initial "Get data from radio" step to establish communication between the software and the radio.

The FTM-500D radio can be programmed using the RT Systems USB-77 cable provided in the package. Alternatively, users can utilize other cabling options, such as the Yaesu SCU-56 or SCU-20 (not compatible with Windows 11), or a suitable micro SD card. The software offers a spreadsheet layout with various point-and-click options for ease of use.

Users can "Read" the current radio configuration for editing or create a new file from scratch. The software enables copying and pasting memory channel information between files and provides column editing to modify multiple channels with minimal typing. Additionally, users can access Internet-based data for repeater information worldwide, making it a comprehensive tool for radio programming.
