The Radioworld 13 Pin SPE Expert CI-V Control Cable provides an integrated connection between compatible Icom transceivers and SPE Expert 1K-FA, 1.3K-FA, 1.5K-FA and 2K-FA linear amplifiers.

Manufactured using high-quality screened cable and measuring approximately 1.5 metres (4ft 10in), the cable provides PTT, ALC, CI-V frequency control and remote amplifier power control through a single purpose-designed cable assembly.

The cable incorporates a DB15 male plug for connection to the SPE Expert amplifier's CAT socket, a 13-pin DIN plug for the Icom transceiver's ACC socket and a 3.5mm mono TS jack plug for the radio's CI-V / REMOTE connection.

Control Functions

PTT Control – Allows the SPE Expert amplifier to switch between transmit and receive in conjunction with the connected Icom transceiver.

ALC Control – Allows automatic control of the transceiver's drive level when the amplifier reaches the required output.

CI-V Frequency Control – Allows the SPE Expert amplifier to determine the exact operating frequency of the connected Icom transceiver. The amplifier can then automatically select the appropriate band and, where an ATU is fitted, recall the relevant stored tuner setting.

Remote On/Off – Allows compatible installations to switch the amplifier on with the transceiver and power the amplifier down when the radio is switched off.

The appropriate CI-V settings may need to be configured within your Icom transceiver's menu. Please consult the operating manuals for your transceiver and SPE Expert amplifier when setting up the system.
