Diamond hfv40 HF rotary dipole antenna
The diamond hfv40 is a compact rotary dipole for 40m, designed by Diamond with excellent manufacturing quality. It is a shortened dipole with precise alignment possibilities, allowing for effective tuning to the required band portion. However, like all shortened antennas, the useable bandwidth is limited and the antenna needs to be realigned when changing the operating frequency. Without a tuner, the useable bandwidth on 40m is approximately 30 kHz. The hfv40 has a small packing size of only 102cm, making it suitable for vacations or portable field day operations. When installed, the dipole has a length of approximately 460cm and a turning radius of only 165cm due to its v shape. The antenna weighs only 2.3 kg and the connector is pl type, but a cable is not included. Additionally, the included mast clamp is suitable for masts with diameters ranging from 30 to 62mm.
