The West Mountain Radio ISOpwr is a solid‑state auxiliary battery isolator designed to safely charge and manage a 12‑volt auxiliary battery for powering mobile radios and other portable 12‑volt equipment. Ideal for:

  • ARES / RACES / FEMA field operations

  • VHF/UHF contest rovers

  • Mobile command stations

  • Moderate‑power amateur radio setups

  • RC model charging stations

  • RV and camper auxiliary systems

Automatic Operation

  • Turns ON when the vehicle is running, and the alternator maintains >13.5V.

  • Turns OFF when the alternator stops, and the main battery drops below 12.7V.

  • Prevents draining the vehicle’s starting battery.

  • Can be used without an auxiliary battery to automatically power a radio only when the vehicle is running.

Technical Features

  • Fully solid‑state FET switching — no relays, no moving parts.

  • Handles up to 40A continuous current.

  • 40A input fuse included.

  • Compatible with all 12‑volt lead‑acid battery types: Flooded, Gel, AGM.

  • Safe, reliable, and maintenance‑free.

Included Battery Fuse & Terminal Kit

  • (1) ATC water‑resistant in‑line fuse holder

  • (1) 40A ATC fuse

  • (1) 3/8" ring terminal (positive) for 10–12 AWG wire

  • (1) 5/16" ring terminal (negative) for 10–12 AWG wire.
