Another handy gadget for the FT817 is the One-Touch Tune from W4RT Electronics. This plugs into the mini-din connection on the FT817 and has a spare connection for other leads. This obviates the need to change modes from SSB to AM or CW in order to key the transceiver for tuning, purposes and then back again to the original mode.
