The RF µTUNING KIT offers ultra-sharp RF Selectivity for the transceiver's front end, enabling Very High Q due to its narrow-band design. There are three options available: µTuning Kit A covers the 1.8MHz band with MTU-160, µTuning Kit B covers the 3.5 and 7MHz bands with MTU-80/40, and µTuning Kit C covers the 10.1 and 14MHz bands with MTU-30/20. The permeability-tuning concept used in the µ-Tune circuit has a rich history dating back decades, with the latest development in the RF µTUNING KIT being the most advanced iteration ever seen in an Amateur transceiver.

When any of the three optional units are installed, they automatically adjust to your operating frequency, offering protection for the RF stage against IMD and blocking. The narrow bandwidth is particularly beneficial on low bands with numerous strong signals received through NVIS within a narrow bandwidth. The RF µTUNING KIT provides a high Q and shape factor surpassing VRF, and it can be manually adjusted to alleviate interference as close as 10kHz away. The insertion loss of the RF µTUNING KIT is higher than VRF, so users concerned about the Noise Figure can opt for the VRF circuit via the Transceiver Menu if needed.
