The XM-240 two-element beam has notably returned to the Big Thunder Monobanders. This model, reminiscent of the renowned 4502CD, boasts exceptional contest-winning performance. Operating on the 40m band with a frequency range of 7 to 7.3MHz, the XM-240 features two elements and a power rating of 2kW. With a free space gain of 6dBi and a maximum front-to-back ratio of 28dB, this beam antenna offers impressive performance capabilities. Its VSWR stands at an excellent 1.1:1, with a bandwidth ranging from 150kHz at 1.5:1 to 250kHz at 2:1.

The physical specifications of the XM-240 are equally impressive. With a boom length of 6.7m, a diameter of 63.5mm, and the most extended element measuring 13.3m, this antenna provides a robust structure for optimal signal transmission. It boasts a turning radius of 7.3m, a mast diameter of 63.5mm, and a maximum wind survival capacity of 145 kph. Weighing in at 25kg, the XM-240 balances performance and practicality for amateur radio enthusiasts.
