The Astatic Model 636L‑SE is a rugged, close‑talking dynamic microphone designed for CB, Amateur Radio and SSB communications. Built around Astatic’s proven dynamic noise‑cancelling element, it delivers clear, punchy voice response while minimising ambient noise through its 360‑degree noise‑reduction design.

The classic tear‑drop housing features a soft lip guard to maintain consistent close‑talk spacing, ensuring strong audio pickup even in noisy mobile environments. Constructed from high‑impact moulded black Cycolac, the 636L‑SE is engineered for durability and long service life.

A six‑wire coiled cord provides flexible connectivity for relay, electronic, and a wide range of transmitter/transceiver systems. The microphone offers a low‑impedance output, a robust DPDT switch wired normally open, and is available either stripped and tinned or pre‑configured with a 4‑Pin (DX1) DIN connector for compatible radios.

Weighing 284 g (10 oz), the 636L‑SE is supplied as a single unit, offering a reliable, high‑clarity solution for operators who demand consistent performance in varied communication environments.
