Description

Fibreglass radomes are built with overlapping outer shells to provide added structural strength while maintaining a smooth, aerodynamic profile. The design includes robust waterproof joint couplings to help prevent moisture ingress throughout the service life. Stainless steel hardware is used throughout for corrosion resistance, supporting reliable outdoor performance in harsh environments.

RF performance is optimised for wide-band operation, with tunable coverage from 144–174 MHz using a cut chart. The system delivers a maximum gain of 7.8 dB and supports a maximum power rating of 350 W. Factory adjustment is completed during production, so no tuning is required after installation, simplifying deployment and ensuring consistent results.

Mechanical and electrical requirements are addressed with a 90 mph wind rating and a 15 ft height configuration for robust installation. The radome is DC-grounded for improved lightning and static protection. Element phasing is 3‑5/8 λ, and the antenna uses a UHF connector for dependable feedline interfacing.
