The MFJ-1624 Mini Bug Catcher is a compact, high-efficiency base-loaded HF mobile antenna covering the 6 to 40-meter bands. Designed for quick installation on a truck lip, mirror, luggage rack, or tri-magnet mount, it’s perfect for mobile operators who want to enjoy rag-chewing and DXing on the go.

  • Frequency Coverage: 6m to 40m HF bands

  • Power Handling: Up to 300W PEP (recommended 20W for cigarette lighter use)

  • Design: Large air-wound inductor for high efficiency

  • Matching Network: Built-in inductive network for low SWR

  • Whip Length: 5.5 ft, collapsible to 2.5 ft for easy storage

  • Mounting: 3/8" x 24 thread; compatible with MFJ-347, MFJ-342, MFJ-338T mounts
