The V version includes dual 80 mm cooling fans mounted directly to the heatsink, improving thermal performance during extended operation. Additional features include an LED output power meter, 3 dB input attenuator, VOX (RF-sense) operation, and PTT control input for seamless integration with modern transceivers.

Built using two RF power transistors in a push-pull Class-AB configuration, the HLA-150 V Black offers strong, stable output while maintaining efficiency. Comprehensive protection circuits guard against excessive input power, high VSWR, and overheating, helping to protect both the amplifier and connected equipment.
