Second Hand Icom IC-R8500 Wide Band Communications Receiver, The IC-R8500 is a high specification communications receiver ideal for the radio ham or shortwave listener but with an affordable price. Has many features not mentioned, that make it an excellent choice for the serious SWL or radio ham who wants a receiver that covers the radio spectrum LF to UHF. An RS-232C serial port is available for direct connection to a PC via Icom’s CI-V data communications system and allows control and monitor functions on the PC. There are a number of options available for the IC-R8500 which include filters, high stability crystal, mains power supply, voice board and 25 to 1300MHz discone antenna.
