The Firestik NO GROUND PLANE antenna, Single Kit, Mirror Mount is a versatile solution to ground plane issues commonly encountered on various vehicles. The FGX-648 series kits are ideal for cars made of non-conductive materials like plastic, fibreglass, wood, or aluminium. The isolated ground plane incorporated in these kits helps eliminate high SWR and performance issues, making them suitable for various applications beyond traditional vehicular installations.

The antennas included in these kits feature a 5/8 wave design similar to the Firestik II tunable tip antennas. These antennas are durable, efficient, and made of reinforced plastic (fibreglass) with a chrome-plated machine brass mounting base. The antennas are designed to work with the Firestik NGP cable for optimal performance. With a 100-watt power rating, these antennas have a no-tools-required tunable tip for easy SWR adjustments and come in various colour options.

The seventeen-foot coaxial cable included in the kits is custom-manufactured for top-notch performance. This coaxial feedline ensures reliable signal transmission by featuring a multi-wire, stranded centre conductor and double shielding (aluminium tape and copper wire braid). It serves as a tuned circuit to create the necessary counterpoise. The stainless steel 3-way 90° angle mount provided with the kits offers versatile mounting options, making it suitable for various installation scenarios.
