The Heil Sound HM-12 is a purpose-built dynamic cardioid microphone designed specifically for amateur radio communications.
Equipped with Heil’s Genesis™ full-range dynamic element, the HM-12 provides high output, clear articulation, and excellent background noise rejection for superior on-air voice quality.

This microphone features the classic Heil +4 dB presence boost at 2 kHz, ensuring crisp, intelligible audio that cuts through pileups while maintaining a smooth low-end response.
Its –35 dB rear rejection and internal shock-mounted element minimize room and handling noise.

The HM-12 is fitted with a 4-pin XLR connector — with the PTT (Push-to-Talk) switch wired to pins 3 & 4 and the audio output on pins 1 & 2 — making it fully compatible with Heil CC-1 adapter cables for all major transceiver brands.
A built-in foam windscreen and included 5/8"-27 mic clip make it ready to mount on Heil booms or desk stands.
