The Heil BM-17 Dynamic is a lightweight, dual-sided headset designed for portable and everyday amateur radio use, offering clear transmit audio and enhanced receive performance.

Fitted with the BM-D dynamic microphone element, this version is suitable for most amateur radio transceivers including Yaesu and Kenwood radios requiring a low impedance microphone input.

The BM-17 features a swivel-mounted boom arm, allowing the microphone to be positioned on either the left or right side, providing flexibility for different operating preferences.

Its dual-sided design provides improved audio isolation and enhanced listening clarity, making it ideal for noisy environments, contesting and extended operating sessions.

Microphone Element – BM-D Dynamic

  • Designed for communications use
  • Output impedance: 500–600 ohms
  • Frequency response: 120 Hz – 10 kHz
  • Suitable for most amateur radios (Low-Z input 150–4k ohms)
