The Heil Pro Micro is a lightweight, high‑clarity headset available in single‑sided or dual‑sided configurations, designed to suit a wide range of amateur radio transceivers. Each version is offered with either a Dynamic microphone element (for Yaesu/Kenwood) or an iC Electret element (for Icom), ensuring optimal audio performance across different radio platforms.

Comfort & Audio Performance

The Pro Micro features highly efficient speakers that require minimal AF gain from the transceiver. With a wide 20 Hz – 17 kHz frequency response and low distortion, the headset delivers clean, natural audio. The ear pads are made from replaceable acoustic foam for long‑term comfort.

Connectivity

• Microphone terminates in a 1/8" mono plug  • Headphone terminates in a 1/8" stereo plug (with supplied adaptor) • AD‑1 Interface Adapter is required for connection to your specific radio model

Adjustability

The stainless‑steel support inside the padded headband can be gently bent to achieve a personalised, secure fit. All Pro Micro headsets include a foam windscreen that reduces breath noise without affecting frequency response.

Dynamic Version (Yaesu, Kenwood)

The Pro Micro 6 uses the Heil HC‑6 dynamic microphone element, designed for amateur radio communications. • –3 dB points: 100 Hz – 12 kHz  • Sensitivity: –57 dB, 600 Ω outputNote: Vintage radios requiring 10k–30k Ω input impedance will need the Heil XT‑1 transformer.

iC Version (Icom)

The Pro Micro iC uses the Heil iC electret microphone element, engineered for Icom radios that supply +5 VDC bias power. • –3 dB points: 80 Hz – 12.5 kHz  • Designed to eliminate low‑gain issues when using dynamic elements on Icom rigs
