The Icom IC‑PW2 is a next‑generation 1 kW HF/50 MHz linear amplifier designed for serious DXers, contesters, and multi‑station operators. Built around advanced 65 V LDMOS technology, the IC‑PW2 delivers exceptional linearity, fast band switching, and fully integrated station control when paired with compatible Icom radios.

Featuring the world’s first amateur‑radio implementation of Digital Pre‑Distortion (DPD) in combination with the IC‑7610, the IC‑PW2 achieves cleaner, more accurate transmission by correcting distortion before it reaches the amplifier stage. A 2 × 6 automatic antenna selector allows two radios to share six antennas with seamless switching, making the IC‑PW2 ideal for SO2R (Single-Operator Two-Radios) operation.

The amplifier includes a built‑in automatic antenna tuner, RX‑ANT ports for external BPFs, preamps or attenuators, and full linked operation with Icom radios such as the IC‑7851, IC‑7610, and IC‑7300. A detachable controller with a 4.3‑inch colour touch screen provides intuitive control and clear visualisation of antenna routing and operating status.

Designed for high‑duty contest environments, the IC‑PW2 incorporates a high‑efficiency cooling system, extensive protection circuitry, SD card support for firmware and settings, and LAN connectivity for future remote operation. With its powerful SO2R capabilities, rapid band switching, and advanced signal processing, the IC‑PW2 sets a new benchmark for high‑performance HF amplifiers.
